Although most of us would consider ourselves "good" people, the truth is that we have all come short of God's holy standard. We live satisfying our own sinful desires as liars, thieves, and adulteres. With our hearts we have been bitter, jealous, greedy, and hateful. We have ignored the one true God who gave us life. We have rebelled againist Him in our own thoughts and actions. Our sins have separated us from our Maker. He must, in righteousness, punish our sins in eternity to come in a place called Hell. This the same righteous God that is a God of love. He does not desire to have anyone perish, but to have all that are saved have eternal life. 2000 years ago, for the sake of mankind, He gave His only Son, Jesus Christ, to die on a cross in our place, to pay the fine for our sins. By His death, burial, and resurrection, Jesus made a way for sinful man to be made right with God. To receieve this mercy and salvation, we must humble ourselves, repent of our sins, and put our faith in what Jesus did for us. In Christ alone there is forgiveness of sin and peace with God. Forsake all and follow Him.
God is so good. I got two hours of sleep and randomly woke up. This honestly never happens. I go on facebook and my friend is searching for God. She didn’t believe in Jesus Christ! We had two classes together. She is really smart and I felt the need to pray for her. Well she said she wanted to skype and we talked about Jesus and I have her the gospel and the main things in between. What Christians believe and why. Why Christianity and nothing else… She pretty much soaked it all in. I can see the grace of God falling on her. Man, she’d be a radical Christian. Keep her in your prayers.
So we skyped for a little bit and she realized it was five in the morning. We were skyping for a long time!
I tried to go back to sleep, but my Spirit was so stirred.. Waking up super early to be with God is so awesome. I mean it’s early, but it is SOOO worth it. I thought this was the perfect time to fast since God has put it on my heart. So I’m liquid fasting! I don’t know how long, but God will let me know when to stop.
For the mean time, keep my friend in your prayers. I’m coming in great expectations for God to move. I’ll share what I learned when I come back.
