Although most of us would consider ourselves "good" people, the truth is that we have all come short of God's holy standard. We live satisfying our own sinful desires as liars, thieves, and adulteres. With our hearts we have been bitter, jealous, greedy, and hateful. We have ignored the one true God who gave us life. We have rebelled againist Him in our own thoughts and actions. Our sins have separated us from our Maker. He must, in righteousness, punish our sins in eternity to come in a place called Hell. This the same righteous God that is a God of love. He does not desire to have anyone perish, but to have all that are saved have eternal life. 2000 years ago, for the sake of mankind, He gave His only Son, Jesus Christ, to die on a cross in our place, to pay the fine for our sins. By His death, burial, and resurrection, Jesus made a way for sinful man to be made right with God. To receieve this mercy and salvation, we must humble ourselves, repent of our sins, and put our faith in what Jesus did for us. In Christ alone there is forgiveness of sin and peace with God. Forsake all and follow Him.
Why did I ever move back in with my parents? I really hope this is what God’s will is for me though. I can’t tell! My parents pretty much always put me in a bad mood, clouding my mind with anger. SO. I’m praying for how many days God wants me to fast because I really need an answer. I cannot do this everyday unless it’s what God wants, it’s going to bear fruit, or I’m going to be the one to save my parents.
